Measure. Review. Report. Reward. As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Mark McComb believes that Select Staffing has cracked the code on motivating people. He should know. These same four steps are what have motivated him at Select over the past 17 years.

Mark is responsible for increasing efficiency and production within all of Select branches. This includes ensuring Select's recruiters and branch leaders attain well-determined goals. He strongly believes in decentralization and personal empowerment, from the viewpoint that all managers should treat their business as if they owned it themselves.

Since joining Select, Mark has been involved in virtually every level of the organization, from sales to operations. While overseeing Select's branch field offices, Mark has helped to attain 92% sales growth while keeping the concurrent increase in staff expenses to less than 24%.

He has also established standard performance methods and regular management review systems that communicate accountability and production expectations. Mark's training strategies and assessment programs have set a new standard of excellence at Select. The end result is improved recruiting, management efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Mark is a member of Select's Senior Operating Committee and oversees the company's Commercial Operations Committee, which ensures the rapid and effective operational integration of recent acquisitions.

Select is truly a goal-focused organization, and Mark believes in providing the structure to help individuals and the entire organization meet their goals on a day-to-day basis and over the long term. This includes continually looking for ways to improve efficiency through Select's platform system.

Mark began his career with Select in 1991 as a Recruiter, a position in which he learned to screen and place applicants effectively and to develop loyal customer relationships. From 1992 to 1993, he served as an Account Representative, forging over 80 new customer relationships and propelling the branch to achieve 32% sales growth. In 1994, Mark became a Branch Manager and, four years later, was promoted to Regional Manager.

Joining the corporate team in 2006, Mark has successfully handled the operational assimilation of six acquisitions and has developed strategic staffing solutions that have saved millions of dollars for customers and residual revenue. Being goal-focused has certainly paid off. He became Chief Operating Officer in 2007.

While away from work, Mark enjoys road and mountain biking. He is married and has four active children involved in everything from music to sports.

Mr. McComb earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University with an emphasis in Business and Human Resources.
