Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk needed for a manufacturing company in Pineville, La.
This position will last around 3-4 months.
Need someone with strong A/P skills, preferably in a manufacturing environment, but not required.
Hours: Monday through Thursday – 7:30am to 4:30pm Friday – 7:30am to 2:30 pm
Starting Pay Rate : $15 to $19 depending on qualifications and experience.
The key responsibilities for this position will include, but are not limited to:
- Accounts Payable – e.g. vendor invoices, linking purchase order receivers with invoices and making adjustments as needed, data entry, check processing, maintaining A/P filing system. Work closely with Procurement department to maximize accuracy in cost accounting and workflow of A/P process.
- Accounts Receivable – e.g. assist A/R Manager with customer invoicing to include inventory sales as well as construction T&M billing and bid jobs, preparing job cost reports.
- Payroll – e.g. assist with entering timesheets and changes into payroll system.
- Other – e.g. assists with monthly close-out, monthly reconciliation, etc.

Bookkeeper Job Duties:
- Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
- Balances subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.
- Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries.
- Balances general ledger accounts by reconciling entries.
- Maintains historical records by filing documents.
Educational Requirements:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position; a college degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
Three to five years’ experience in an office accounting position.
Must have experience with financial software platforms and be proficient in Microsoft Excel.

- Maintains documentation of all services provided and all work performed per Rotech’s policies and procedures
- Assumes on-call responsibilities for phone consultations during non-business hours as outlined by Rotech’s policy
- Supports orientation and training of other personnel at the direction of the Area Manager

Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
- Credentials as a respiratory therapist, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) is preferred but other medical credentials may be acceptable (e.g., RN, LPN, LPV) depending upon state licensure laws
- Must be licensed in primary state of home office as required by state law and provide a copy of license to the location
- May be required to obtain license in neighboring states as required by service area of location
Preferred Education and/or Experience
- Completion of an accredited program/degree in respiratory care preferred
- Nursing or other paramedical training may be acceptable depending upon state licensure laws
- Home respiratory care experience is preferred
- Degree in respiratory therapy or related science is preferred
- One year of related work experience, preferred
