Job Opening: Formulation Lab Tech

Description

 Westaff is hiring a Formulation Lab Tech for a great company in South Baton Rouge, LA. 

Shift: Monday – Friday, 8-5, contract position for approx 3 months. 

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 an hour 

 

1. Transfer lab formula samples from beakers to specimen cups and label.
2. Record lab formula samples onto an Excel sheet and create storage boxes for samples.
3. Enter new raw material samples onto an Excel spread sheet.
4. Organize and store new raw material samples once entered onto an inventory spreadsheet.
5. Transfer existing inventoried lab raw materials to new containers and label accordingly.
6. Correspond daily with Formulary consultant for advice and guidance.

 

Required Skills and Education:

 1. High school degree and some college with a scientific background.

2. Familiarity with chemical nomenclature, e.g. acids, bases, esters, alcohols.

3. Attention to detail – very important.

4. Ability to work in an organized manner and maintain a clean workspace.

5. Microsoft Word and Excel experience.

6. Good communication skills – very important.
