Westaff is Hiring for a Fiberoptic Assembler in Putnam, CT!

Shift: Monday – Friday, 7am – 3:30pm 

Payrate: $17-$18 an hour 

 

Fiberoptic Assembler Job Description:

As a Fiberoptic Assembler you will play a key role in assembling and testing fiber optic components and products to ensure they meet the highest quality standards.

Fiberoptic Assembler Responsibilities:

• Assemble fiber optic components, including connectors, cables, and modules with precision.
• Follow detailed assembly instructions, engineering drawings, and schematics to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Utilize specialized tools and equipment to measure, cut, strip, and terminate fiber optic cables.
• Maintain accurate records of daily production and scrap data.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Fiberoptic Assembler Requirements:

• Previous experience in fiber optic assembly or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of fiber optic assembly techniques, tools, and equipment.
• Understanding of fiber optic terminations, connectors, and splicing methods.
• Ability to follow precise instructions and technical specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong manual dexterity.
• Proficiency in using basic measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
