Uses machines and equipment to assist with manufacturing, while performing specialized tasks to create and produce a standard or customized product. Major Job Responsibilities Performs typical machine shop and press operations Operates a press production, braid winding, lathe or crimping machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, manufacturing drawings, bills of material or other written instructions or procedures. Accurately record number of parts produced both good and scrap Utilize hand tools such as a hand held screw driver and drill guns Maintain inventory of product in work stations Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards Identify product defects and report it Operate functional area equipment in a safe and efficient manner Maintain safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping standards as required Maintain accurate and timely data Report any safety problems, hazards, accidents and near misses to management Adjust machine settings as necessary to complete assigned task Properly use safety equipment, including machine guarding, interlocks and safety curtains are working properly or report it Able to troubleshoot and resolve simple quality product issues Meet standards and tolerances Other job tasks as assigned by Supervisor

Job Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads tote pans of parts, stacks parts in baskets, racks and/or barrels, racks, unracks, cleans, etches, desmuts, pickles, bright –dips dyes, degreases, heat treats, plates, coats, wet processes and dries parts.
• Uses electric hoists and manual lifting.
• Following prescribed procedures for processing.
• Fills baskets, racks, and/or barrels with parts to be processed and lowers material into appropriate tank.
• Removes parts when process is completed.
• Maintains cleanliness of tanks and work areas.
• Monitors temperature of solutions.
• Maintains daily production logs.
• Physically inspects processing to ensure quality of product.
• May be required to perform general utility work, material handling, assist with chemical handling and solution maintenance and record keeping as needed.
• May be asked to troubleshoot simple to moderate problems.
• Is responsible for quality of product produced.
• Performs other duties as required.

Job Requirements

• 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Assemble mechanical and hydraulic tools
• Ability to maintain quality standards
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Reasonable understanding of hydraulic devices and functions including check balls and springs, sealing surfaces, pressure valves, flow characteristics, flow distribution, drag, effects of air on performance and conformance to specification, cavitation, high- and low- pressure circuits, seals, etc.
• Ability to read and translate hydraulic and electrical diagrams and schematics
• Ability to work successfully within a team environment, willing to contribute to team problem solving activities such as six sigma or Kaizen
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hydraulic systems

Job Responsibilities

• Performs assembly of mechanical or hydraulic tools by utilizing work order routing, product drawing, and QCIP to guide proper assembly of components.
• Fastens components together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners utilizing hand tools.
• Operates drill presses, lathes, grinders, arbor presses, and hydraulic presses to assist in assembly operation.
• Verifies conformance to specifications utilizing measuring devices to calibrate tools and verifying performance to Quality Control Inspection Plan (QCIP).
• Maintains all necessary records and reports including serialization of tools and components.
• Maintains clean and organized workstation at all times. Observes all quality requirements, work standards, and safe work practices.
• Fills tools with hydraulic fluid and bleeds air from system. Tests for function of hydraulic circuit by operating tool.
• Packages and prepares tools for shipment by following work order routings and drawing instructions.
• Follows all Lean work standards including but not limited to Standard Work, Production Analysis Charts, Red Bin, 5S, and Kanban replenishment.
• May be required to be trained in proper handling of hazardous waste in accordance with 40 CFR 265.16 due to the various waste generated. If required, must take part in documented annual reviews of Hazardous Waste regulations.
